My bad luck

Foot from wikipedia - side view

Good morning. Perhaps my writing today will put a smile 🙂 on your face. I have the worst luck-some would say it is no luck at all. I continue to have head pain but we won’t go there for now. Night before last I was having sharp stabbing back pain-think it was my right kidney-worse than labor pain if you believe that. It is better but while I was feeling bad last night while doing laundry, I stumbled over the laundry basket with my foot getting caught… Things probably would not be so bad but my low vitamin D levels are causing my bones to become brittle and there is this little thing…

Foot from wikipedia - overview

A few years ago, my husband left his big, heavy, metal toolbox in the way and of course I tripped over it breaking my pinky toe so bad that when I looked at it, the toe was sticking out from my foot at a 90 degree angle. Yeah, that was awful and I could not get it set right. The toe still sticks out a little. A few weeks later, after it seemed to be some better, I was walking along with the toe wrapped and caught it on something—another break. This time it was on the inside of the first break. On the 3rd visit to the doctor for my foot and toes, I finally got one of those ugly “shoes” to wear. The foot would not heal until I wore that thing. The first break happened in the summer and by the time cold weather came along I was back in my normal shoes—thank goodness! It took a long time! I wondered if I would still be wearing the shoe at Christmas!

I had hoped my toe/foot would be all better this morning-and maybe not broken-but no such luck. It seems to be broken at the base of the one next to the pinky. I had to dig that shoe out. I’m not a happy camper to have to be wearing that thing again but at least it is warmer weather. You know what they say about black? It goes with anything though my summer wardrobe has little black in it :).

All of these things make me wonder if I should not change my blog to a medical journal—just kidding. I hope you can smile at my misfortune because someone needs a laugh out of all of this. Take care and may you be blessed in the garden today!
